Dr. Brayer is a Professor of Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics and the Center for Community Health. She is board certified in pediatric emergency medicine. She attended Amherst College and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh...
Dr. Brayer is a Professor of Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics and the Center for Community Health. She is board certified in pediatric emergency medicine. She attended Amherst College and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, and in pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Rochester.

She is the director of the pediatric emergency medicine fellowship in the department of Emergency Medicine and a core member of the faculty. She is also the director of the Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Rochester. This coalition serves to reduce the burden of injury in Rochester-area children.

As the director of the Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Rochester, she has worked to reduce the injury burden on Rochester area children by directing programs in home, traffic, and play safety. She is a member of the AAP section on Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and the Council on Injury and Poison Prevention.
