Professional Bio
Dr. Cohen is a Professor of Medicine and Cardiology and a clinical cardiologist at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Although Dr. Cohen has retired from full-time clinical practice, as a member of the Cardiology Clinical Group he is available for consultation and to provide second opinions.
Dr. Cohen received his medical degree at the University of Rochester Medical School and completed his residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and Strong Memorial Hospital. He completed fellowships in Cardiology at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London and the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Cohen also served as a Research Associate with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Cohen is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
Dr. Cohen's research has included studies on cardiomyopathy as well as contributing factors to heart disease. Currently his research focuses on medical education and public policy related to undergraduate and graduate medical education.
