Patient Care Bio
Dr. E.J. Santos is a geriatric psychiatrist, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and the co-director of the general psychiatry residency program. Clinically, Dr. Santos works as an attending at the Strong Behavioral Health Older Adults Clinic and she is an attending in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She is also the medical director of the Mental Health Services at the Hall of Justice. Elder mistreatment is the focus of her research, including development of screening tools, training evaluators, public policy, advocacy for older adults, education, and psychopathology of victims and perpetrators.
