After attending the University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Fantuzzo was educated in both Dentistry and Medicine and went on to complete residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University at Buffalo, in Buffalo, New York. This included a one year General Surgery Internship as well as training in Adult and Pediatric General Anesthesia. He subsequently served as Pediatric Craniofacial Fellow at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, Chevy Chase, Maryland & Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Dr. Fantuzzo is Assistant Professor of Dentistry, Eastman Institute for Oral Health, in the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is the Residency Program Director for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and an attending surgeon with active staff privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester Medical Center, in Rochester, New York.

Specific interests include: Dento-Alveolar Surgery (Management of impacted teeth including wisdom teeth removal); Dental Implant & Preprosthetic Surgery (including bone and soft tissue grafting and dental implant placement); Orthognathic (jaw-straightening) Surgery; management of Facial Trauma; Pathology; Cleft Lip & Palate and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
