Patient Care Bio
Dr. Betty Rabinowitz was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. At age 6 she immigrated to Israel with her family. She graduated the Ben Gurion University Medical School where she also completed a residency in Internal Medicine. She came to the United States in 1990 for a fellowship in Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, joining Clinton Medical Associates in 1992. She is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Rochester. Since the spring of 2010 she has been the Medical Director for the URMC Center for Primary Care. In her role she is focusing on transforming the URMC Primary Care Network practices to Patient Centered Medical Homes providing patients with the highest quality of care in a caring, efficient and cost effective manner. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
