Patient Care Bio
Dr. Marquardt is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Rochester in 1981 and has been in practice since then. He received his certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1983. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Notre Dame Orthopaedic Society.
For 11 years he was a member of the full-time faculty in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He maintains a teaching appointment there as a Clinical Associate Professor and has received awards for his contributions to resident education. He has co-authored several scientific publications including a monograph for primary care physicians on fractures and dislocations. He has given presentations at local, regional, and national orthopaedic meetings. His areas of special interest include trauma, geriatrics, arthritis, joint replacement, and arthroscopic surgery.
