Patient Care Bio
Dr. Rouse's primary practice is in knee surgery, specializing in both arthroscopy and open reconstruction, including total knee arthroplasty. He is also actively involved in trauma care and fracture management. Dr. Rouse cares for athletes at all levels, from little league through professional, as well as the weekend warrior. He also serves as a team physician for regional college sports teams.
Dr. Rouse received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he finished first in his class of 205. He remained in the Dallas area to complete his surgical internship and orthopaedics residency. Then, he completed the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute. He has authored several medical journal articles on such topics as surgical techniques and control of post-operative pain. Dr. Rouse is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at URMC.
