I am a practicing pediatrician at English Road Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. As an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University, my teaching has primarily involved developing an interprofessional simulation program to train the pediatric code team. I have also been involved with teaching community advocacy to residents, and teaching Pediatric Advanced Life Support Courses. I completed a Dean's Teaching Fellowship where I developed and now direct the URMC Simulation Instructor Course. I also am the Assistant Director of the Primary Care Clerkship, which spans the first two years of medical school at the University of Rochester. I obtained my medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo's School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in 2004 and completed my pediatric residency and chief residency at the University of Rochester in 2008.
Patient Care Bio
My passions include caring for children to improve their overall health and teaching other healthcare providers to enhance the care of their patients.
As a pediatrician at English Road Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, I enjoy working with children and their families to provide guidance during a child's development, appropriate treatment during illness, and support throughout. My approach is to work in partnership with my patients and families to help each individual be as healthy as possilble.
I love to teach and include it in my practice with patients and families as well as my academic work at the University spanning from medical students and residents to faculty and other healthcare providers.
