Patient Care Bio
Dr. Kathleen Hoeger is an experienced and dedicated clinician who has practiced at Strong Fertility Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center since 1995, and has been the Director of the Strong Fertility Center since 2006. She is also an active clinical investigator in fertility and reproductive medicine, with many publications. She serves as a reviewer for many of the leading journals in fertility medicine.
Dr. Hoeger's research interests are in the understanding and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in both adolescents and adult women. Dr. Hoeger is both a national and international speaker on polycystic ovary syndrome. She also is the medical director of the Women's Lifestyle Center, a program that can assist women with lifestyle changes to aid in healthier living and weight loss.
Dr. Hoeger earned a bachelor's in biological sciences at Stanford University and a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and a reproductive endocrinology fellowship at the University of Virginia, before relocating to the Rochester area with her family.
Dr. Hoeger is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is a member of the FDA Advisory Committee for Reproductive Health Drugs and many national and international societies, including the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). She maintains an active clinical practice in all areas of infertility treatment.
