Research Bio
Dr. Yussman's research focuses on: 1) the use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) by adolescents and 2) obesity and eating disorder prevention and interventions in primary care practice, and 3)teens with special health care needs access to medical care. Her studies have included secondary analyses of nationally representative data, as well as primary data collection via the internet.
As the Medical Director of Threshold Center for Alternative Youth Services, Dr. Yussman collaborates with researchers on adolescent immunization practices, sexually transmitted infection prevention, and asset building.
