About Me

Dr. Boghani is a comprehensive eye care provider. As a specialist in the anterior segment of the eye, Dr. Boghani treats conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye and corneal surface disorders, and can provide a range of treatment options including medication, laser therapy, and surgery.

Deeply committed to patient care, Dr. Boghani balances her practice with a strong desire to find solutions for problem eye conditions. Her research interests include clinical medical trials; she and Dr Steven Ching completed a study for Alcon Laboratories, Inc regarding bacterial conjunctivitis. Current research interests include dry eye and ocular surface disorders.

She earned her bachelor's degree and master's in ophthalmology from B.J. Medical College, Gujarat University, in India. She completed her Residency Training in Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester. Dr. Boghani's expertise has allowed her to help people around the world while training at institutions where she became a vital member of the eye health team.

At the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia she received cornea training; at the University of NSW in Sydney, Australia she completed contact lens training; and at the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in India she provided consultative services during the first six years of its formation.

She also served as coordinator for the Indian Contact Lens Education Programme, conducted at the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, in conjunction with the Cornea and Contact Lens Research Unit in Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Boghani is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, the International Association of Contact Lens Educators, and the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists. She is a life member of the All-India Ophthalmological Society.
