Professional Bio

Dr. Bruckner is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Oncology, and the Clinical Director of the Pediatric General Inpatient Units at the Golisano Children's Hospital, University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). She earned her medical degree and PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at SUNY at Upstate Medical Center. Subsequently, she completed her residency in Pediatrics and fellowship training in hematology and oncology at URMC.



As Clinical Director, Dr. Bruckner leads and provides oversight to the clinical operations of the Golisano Children's Hospital including the admission process and bed capacity management, optimizing the use of the electronic medical record (eRecord), patient and family satisfaction, and quality of care, safety, and regulatory initiatives. Dr. Bruckner holds multiple leadership positions including:
