Professional Bio

Lynn Liu, MD, is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Her clinical interests are in the both sleep medicine and epilepsy.



Dr. Liu attended undergraduate studies at Cornell University and graduated from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, DC. She completed her residency in neurology at Duke University Medical Center and completed fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology with a focus in both Epilepsy and Sleep Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. She joined the faculty of the University of Rochester in 2000.

Dr. Liu remains dedicated to teaching and received the Dean's Teaching Fellowship Award 2010 for her educational project designing a Web-based Seizure Video Atlas for residency training. She has received several Strong Stars from patients for her clinical care and consistently high HCAHPS rankings of patient satisfaction.

She is an active member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the New York State Neurological Society. Additionally, Dr. Liu sits on the Membership Research Committee for the American Academy of Neurology.
