Lab Description

The Center for Musculoskeletal Research houses nearly 70 MD and PhD researchers and graduate and post-doctoral students. This team has been the top orthopaedics lab in the United States since 2006.

Research Bio

Dr. Maloney's research interests overlie his clinical practice treating orthopaedic injuries sustained by juvenile to senior and casual to master athletes.

Ongoing research includes:

1) treatment of muscle, tendon, ligament, and cartilage injuries through novel stem cell and tissue engineering techniques

2) evaluation of the cellular link between meniscal injuries and progressive arthritis

3) rotator cuff healing models relative to treatment modalities
