Professional Bio
A native of Pittsburgh, PA he graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1973, attended Bucknell University and played on the baseball team. After graduating in 1977 he entered Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine, receiving a M.D. degree in 1981, grauating first in his class. His postgraduate education was at the University of Rochester, finishing his Orthopaedic Residency in 1985, and completed the Hand Fellowship at the University of Rochester in 1986.
After completing the Hand Fellowship he remained on the facutly of the University of Rochester Orthopaedic Department, currently serving as Associate Professor of Orthopaedics. Dr. Jones has been a full time faculty member involved in teaching, patient care and clinical research his entire career, and has been a mentor to many residents and fellows.
Since 1988 he has been the Quality Assurance Director for the Orthopaedic Department at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He has been a member of the Faculty Senate Committee since 1988. Throughout his career he has authored or co-authored several publications.
