Professional Bio

Dr. Wendy Gelbard attended Bowdoin College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Romance Languages. She went on to attend the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. After general surgery training at Maine Medical Center, she completed fellowships in Reconstructive Microsurgery and Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Gelbard went on to finish Emergency Medicine Residency training at the University of Rochester in 1998.



She is currently Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. She serves as the Associate Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Emergency Medicine and is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
