Professional Bio
Rollin J. (Terry) Fairbanks, MD, MS, FACEP, is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and of Community and Preventive Medicine at the University of Rochester, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Industrial Systems Engineering at the University of Buffalo. His research applies human factors engineering and industrial systems engineering research methods to medical systems, with a focus on patient safety, heath information technology and medical device design. His research has been funded by the NIBIB, NINR, AHRQ, and several foundations. He is a current recipient of a K08 career development award from the NIH/NIBIB.
