Patient Care Bio
Dr. Giampoli is a cytopathologist. She directs the fine needle aspiration biopsy service at Strong Memorial Hospital and also performs fine needle aspirates at other community hospitals. The use of this less-invasive procedure to obtain cell samples from tumors enhances patient comfort and safety, while still delivering significant information to pathologists. Other areas of interest include pulmonary, gastrointestinal and otolaryngolic pathology.
