Patient Care Bio

Dr. Magyar's clinical activities focus on assisting schools and agencies in designing comprehensive treatment programs and services for individuals with autism spectrum and related disorders. Program design is accomplished through a systematic process of evaluating the needs of the individuals served, examining the school/agency's existing program and service delivery model, and identifying where program improvements can be made. Consultation, training, and technical assistance is provided to assist in developing/improving program components and infrastructure to improve the quality and efficiency of the services and includes designing a program evaluation protocol to assist program administrators with continuous program improvements once Dr. Magyar's work with them is complete.

In 2011 Dr. Magyar published a book on the methods she uses to assist schools to improve their services entitled: Developing and Evaluating Educational Programs for Students with Autism (2011, Springer Publisher).
