Patient Care Bio

My clinical activities focus on assisting schools and agencies in designing comprehensive educational and training programs for individuals with autism spectrum and related disorders. Programs are designed through a systematic process of evaluating the needs of the individuals served, examining the school or agency's existing program model, and identifying where program improvements can be made. Consultation and training is provided to school and agency personnel to assist them in developing all components of the program and evaluating the program for success. Recently, I published a book on my work in the schools entitled: Developing and Evaluating Educational Programs for Students with Autism (2011, Springer Publisher).

In addition, I provide talks, trainings, and intensive skills-building workshops on various topics relevant to individuals affected by an autism spectrum or related disorder and the people who care for them.
