Professional Bio
Steven H. Bernstein, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the
Lymphoma Biology Program at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, University of Rochester Medical Center, New York, NY. He earned a medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. Subsequently, he was a clinical fellow in hematology and oncology at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and a research fellow in medicine in the Laboratory of Clinical Pharmacology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
Dr. Bernstein is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, American Association for Cancer Research, American Society of Hematology, and American College of Physicians. Dr. Bernstein is also a member of the Lymphoma Working Group, Lymphoma Core Committee, and Lymphoma Biology Committee of the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG). He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has
authored numerous abstracts and four book chapters. Dr. Bernstein has been awarded numerous grants to study hematologic malignancies and has been the principal investigator for many clinical protocols in lymphomas and leukemias.
