Research Bio

I am interested in improving the health of infants and young children through the delivery of quality, evidence-based primary care services. My research has examined modifiable aspects of the parent-child relationship to improve parenting skills and child outcomes. I am active in projects at both the local and state level to promote strategies that improve the development and behavioral health of young children.

Past projects have included a clinical trial to examine the effectiveness of video-based anticipatory guidance in the primary care office. I am currently working to reduce disparities at school entry for inner city children by optimizing developmental screening and referral for Early Intervention in Rochester's urban primary care practices.
