I enjoy seeing children for diagnostic evaluations, including evaluations for autism, ADHD or any other developmental question. I have special interest in the needs of young and school age children. I work collaboratively with the child's family to identify the appropriate medications or therapies to try to improve any challenging behaviors the child is experiencing. I offer behavioral suggestions that families can use at home and offer recommendations for their educational team. I work with families to treat the child within the context of their family and school to promote the optimal functioning in all settings. Many children with developmental disabilities have behaviorally based feeding issues and I can work with families to improve this issue within the context of our clinic. I consult with the genetics team regularly and have an interest in understanding the genetic basis for developmental disabilities.

Currently I participate in the training and education of pediatric, medicine and psychiatry residents in our clinic and consult to the inpatient units when issues arise with hospitalized patients.

I collaborate with the pediatric sleep clinic in the Iron and Sleep Study for Children With Autism and the Autism Treatment Network. I have worked with the ATN to study the effects of Celexa (a medication used for depression and anxiety) in children with autism. I have also looked at the findings of genetic testing completed in our department for children with autism spectrum disorders.
