Dr. Devang Butani is an Assistant Professor in the Interventional Radiology section of Imaging Sciences. He pursued undergraduate education at California State University and received his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine in 2004. After completing a year in Internal Medicine in 2005 at Rochester General Hospital, he completed his radiology residency on the vascular track in 2009 at University of Rochester Medical Center. From 2009-2010, Dr. Butani completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship program at University of Rochester Medical Center.
Dr. Butani practices all aspects of interventional radiology, ranging from interventional oncology to minimally invasive pain management/treatments for low back pain. His research has been presented on a national and international level. His interests also include medical education and Dr. Butani serves as the Director of Medical Student Education for the Dept. of Imaging Sciences, as well as the Director of Resident Education in Interventional Radiology. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology with additional certification in Interventional Radiology. He is also a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
