Research Bio
Emil Scosyrev is an epidemiologist. His clinical research is focused on systemic chemotherapy for muscle-invasive bladder cancer, early detection of aggressive prostate cancer, chemoprevention of prostate cancer progression after definitive local therapy, and comparative analysis of clinical outcomes following different types of surgical interventions for prostate and kidney cancers. These projects are based on data collected at the University of Rochester Medical Center and at other academic institutions, as well as data from tumor registries and international clinical trials. In addition to clinical research in urologic oncology, Emil is involved in theoretical work on methodology of clinical trials and randomization-based inference.
