Daniel King MD, FACP is a board certified Internist and Geriatrician with the University of Rochester, associated with Highland Hospital. When asked to describe “Geriatrics” to his patients he will often tell them that he views himself as a specialist in the types of transitions that occur as we age and how we can best approach them. He was originally attracted to Geriatrics during his residency training because he enjoyed the stories that his patients had to tell. He is an active educator within the university and is also the medical director of the Highland Internal Medicine Residency practice, where he enjoys his role as a mentor to the next generation of physicians. Outside of his role as a physician, Dr. King strives to spend as much time outdoors in the woods while balancing responsibilities as a father of two young daughters.
