Patient Care Bio
Dr. Ashley was born and raised in Portland, Maine. He attended Northeastern University in Boston, where he received a B.S. in Biochemistry in 1997. After working briefly in research, Dr. Ashley attended the University of North Carolina, receiving his MPH in 2005 and his MD in 2006.
Dr. Ashley was a resident in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Strong Memorial Hospital, and served as Chief Resident for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Dr. Ashley is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and is currently practicing at Calkins Creek Family Medicine. His clinical work is grounded in the medical evidence, but always accounts for patients' values and preferences, and he takes a collaborative approach that views patients as empowered partners in their own health.
Outside of work, Dr. Ashley enjoys time with his family, reading, and rooting for the Boston Red Sox.
