Patient Care Bio
I got my PhD degree in mathematical statistics at Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999. During 1999-2006, I worked at Chinese Academy of Sciences as a post-doc, a Lecturer, then an Associate Professor. From 2001 to 2007, I ever visited Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Hong Kong, University of Washington, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I moved to University of Rochester as a post-doc in 2007. I have been a Research Assistant Professor at the department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology in University of Rochester since April 2010. My main research interests focus on semiparametric statistics analysis with application to survival analysis and differential equation models.
Related Experience: I have several years of experience in developing semiparametric methods for interval censored data in survival analysis using sieve approaches, which includes development of sieve estimation methods for partially linear models with interval censored data and establishment of the asymptotic properties of the proposed sieve estimators. In addition, I investigated semiparametric zero-inflated Poisson regression models in count data analysis and proposed sieve-based semiparametric inference methods. Recently, I established the theoretical basis of the nonlinear least squares method for ODE models with both constant and time-varying coefficients, developed numerical algorithm-based estimation methods for ODE models, and investigated the asymptotic properties of variable selection methods for high-dimensional nonparametric ODE models. Relevant Publications: I already published 19 articles in peer-reviewed bio/statistical journals, including Journal of the American Statistical Association, Annals of Statistics, Biometrika and Biometrics.
