Dissemination and implementation research in health care settings

Dr. Lowenstein's research focuses on the dissemination and implementation of best practices and guidelines in healthcare settings in the areas of childhood obesity and geriatric oncology. Her work has been in patient-provider communication; health care provider attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors; patient's perceptions of care. She uses both qualitative and quantitative methodology to develop and evaluate interventions that can improve the dissemination and implementation of best practices and guidelines.
