How to Apply: Residency Application Materials
Requirements for Admission
Admission to the residency program is available to Pharm.D. graduates of accredited colleges of pharmacy. Residents must be a United States citizen or carry a permanent resident visa and must be eligible for New York State licensure.
Application Process
An application form is not required, but the following items must be submitted to apply for the residency:
- Letter of intent stating goals and interests
- Curriculum vitae
- Three letters of reference, utilizing the the URMC Resident Applicant Recommendation Form
- Official college transcriptsacokinetics/Pharmacy Practice Experience
The deadline for the receipt of application materials to be considered for an onsite interview is January 10, 2009. A formal case presentation is required during the interview.

ASHP Match
The Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center is an ASHP accredited residency and utilizes the Resident Matching Program. In compliance with the rules and regulations of the National Matching Services and ASHP, the residency site agrees that no person will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any residency applicant.
PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Golisano Childrens' Hospital
Admission to the residency program is available to Pharm.D. graduates of accredited colleges of pharmacy. Residents must be a United States citizen or carry a permanent resident visa and must be eligible for New York State licensure.Requirements for Admission
The PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Golisano Children's Hospital is a 12-month, full-time curriculum that provides the resident with the knowledge and skills needed to provide optimal care to patients.
