Avice O'Connell, M.D., M.R.C.P.I., has practiced radiology in Rochester, N.Y., for more than 25 years. She received her medical degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Following a medical residency there, she was elected a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She is director of Women's Imaging at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Board certified in diagnostic radiology, O'Connell, an associate professor of imaging sciences, has special interests in mammography and women's imaging. She is past president of the Rochester Society of Radiologists and the Rochester Academy of Medicine. |

Ruola Ning, Ph.D., is president, founder and chief technology officer of Koning Corporation. He is a professor of Imaging Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Radiation Oncology and Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, N.Y. With more than 20 years experience in Cone Beam Volumetric CT, Ning is the inventor on eight issued patents for medical imaging technology and has been awarded more than $11 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health. He has published or presented more than 80 scientific papers at conferences or in peer-review scientific journals. A graduate of the University of Utah with a master's degree and doctorate in electrical engineering, Ning also holds an American Board of Radiology (ABR) certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Physics. He has positioned Koning Corporation to become the commercial leader in Cone Beam CT technology.
