Dr. Stahlhut is an environmental health researcher and is board certified in preventive medicine. His training includes a masters in Biostatistics from the Harvard School of Public Health and a fellowship in Medical Informatics at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is interested in how common environmental chemical exposures may be related to the development of obesity as well as related diseases, such as diabetes and metabolic syndrome. He has previously studied the (nonpersistent) phthalates and bisphenol A, and will be looking more closely at persistent organic pollutants in future work.
