My current research interests involve understanding the role of CD4 T cells in primary and secondary influenza infection. I am currently using a murine model to determine the effect of secondary influenza infection on the magnitude and kinetics of the CD4 T cell response to individual conserved and nonconserved CD4 T cell epitopes. I am also examining the effect of increasing MHC class III diversity of the CD4 T cell response to influenza.
