 Overview
Steven P. Meyers, M.D., Ph.D. holds the rank of Professor of Radiology and Neurosurgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and specializes in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging. Dr. Meyers is committed to providing compassionate and technologically superior care to his patients. His key areas of clinical specialization and research have included Neuroimaging, Head and Neck imaging, Musculoskeletal MRI, MR and CT angiography. Dr. Meyers has been invited as a Visiting Professor to give lectures nationally and internationally. He is the author or co-author of dozens of scientific and medical articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a co-author of the successful textbook, Differential Diagnosis in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Thieme Publishers, which has been translated into other languages including German, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Greek, Polish and Chinese. He is the author of a book published in 2008 by Thieme titled, MRI of Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors and Tumor-Like Lesions, Differential Diagnosis and Atlas. He is the co-author of a new book titled, Differential Diagnosis in Computed Tomography by Thieme Publishers.

Dr. Meyers has received six Faculty teaching awards. He is Director of the Advanced MRI Fellowship Training Program at the University of Rochester and has trained 40 Fellows from all over the United States since 1999. Dr. Meyers is also the Director for the Radiology Residency Program at the University of Rochester.

After earning a Medical Degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Dr. Meyers completed a Residency in Radiology at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, (affiliate of Case Western Reserve University); a Fellowship in MRI at the University of Pittsburgh, PA; and a Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology, from which he has also received a Certificate of Additional Qualification in the field of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Meyers is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American College of Radiology, the International Skeletal Society, the Childrens' Oncology Group, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, Association of University Radiologists, the New York State Radiological Society, and the Rochester Roentgen Ray Society.
