Dr. Aligne's major research interests include: 1. Evidence-based community health programs 2. Public Heath training for health care professionals 3. Medical Education 4. Medical History 5. Environmental and social determinants of health 6. Passive smoking 7. Asthma prevention The epidemiologicial triangle consists of agent, host and environment. Most biomedical research focuses on disease agents. By increasing understanding of how environmental and behavioral factors influence health, it should be possible to prevent most major illnesses.
