The Redmond laboratory's focus is in Vascular Biology, relating particularly to cardiovascular disease including atherosclerosis and restenosis after angioplasty. General areas of interest include (i) cell signaling mechanisms mediating cardiovascular effects of alcohol and red wine constituents, (ii) hemodynamic regulation of vascular endothelial and smooth muscle cell fate and (iii) novel mechanotransduction pathways.
