Dr. Shah is one of the national leaders in emergency medicine research, specifically within the field of acute care of older adults. His specific interests include: 1) improving the quality of prehospital care provided to older adults; 2) using telemedicine to provide older adults emergency care; 3) screening older adults in the emergency care setting to identify and address unmet needs.
Dr. Shah has received funding from the NIH, AHRQ, CDC, and a number of foundations. He has published approximately 65 manuscripts and 90 abstracts.
