 Overview
Research Interests: Main area of interest involves the methodology employed in the collection of data. Areas of current research include Maternal Child Health and Breast Feeding program evaluation.

Ms Suter serves as Data Coordinator for the New York State Perinatal Data System (SPDS) where she oversees the collection of Birth Certificate and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit data in the 9 county Finger Lakes region. She currently serves on the Statewide SPDS definitions committee. In her work with affiliate hospital birth registrars she has developed a multipronged system to increase the integrity of the birth certificate data collected by the hospital personnel. Ms. Suter also works with professionals in the Finger Lakes region who use data providing support and training as needed.

Ms Suter has recently coordinated a federally funded survey of low income women's infant feeding decisions and is currently involved in the analysis of the data collected.
