Dr. Huang has been conducting experiments using elongated DRG cells to repair spinal cord and peripheral nerve injury. Dr. Huang's current research interests include traumatic brain injury with repair, spinal cord and peripheral nerve injuries, tissue engineering, and minimally invasive Neurosurgery. His laboratory research is funded by grants from NIH (R01NS067435), New York Academy of Medicine (Elsberg), American Association of Neurological Surgeons (NREF Young Investigator's Award) and AO Spine grant.
