Medical Family Therapy Intensive
PSI 492 / 3.0 credit hours
CRN 17113 Matriculated MS Students
This week long intensive blends didactic and experiential methods to teach students how to work with families dealing with illness and how to collaborate with physicians from other health care professionals.
$600 (Plus University Tuition)

Narrative Approaches to Family Therapy
PSI 560 / CRN 17124 / 3.0 credit hours
Narrative will focus on the use of language, storytelling, metaphor and the construction of meaning in family therapy and in the life of the therapist. Students will review cutting edge literature from multiple disciplines interested in how language and storytelling shape people’s lives

Family Therapy Practice
PSI 562 / CRN 17131/ 3.0 credit hours
A continuation of Clinical Practice I, this course offers a live group supervision format as students conduct their first clinical sessions in a safe and instructional setting with an Approved Supervisor of AAMFT. Trainees develop a repertoire of technique and skill in the therapy room, while reviewing videotapes of their sessions for treatment planning purposes. Trainees participate collectively in case planning and debriefing.
