Department of Psychiatry Advisory Council of Consumers (DPACC)
The Department of Psychiatry Advisory Council of Consumers (DPACC) was formed in 2006. DPACC is a group of consumers, their families, and key departmental leaders of Strong Behavioral Health. DPACC provides feedback and discusses ideas related to improvements of services, quality of care and improving consumer satisfaction. More information on DPACC.
Natural Helpers (Phase 1)
This study aims to develop an academic-community partnered research project to develop methods for identifying and recruiting informal neighborhood natural helpers who enhance mental health promotion and prosocial skills, attitudes, and knowledge among families with school aged children in Rochester, NY. Natural Helpers (Phase 2)
The Natural Helpers Learning Collaborative (NHLC) is an independent group of proactive Rochester residents committed to strengthening how their neighborhoods promote mental wellness and reduce violence. The NHLC fosters these goals through cooperative discussion, education, and outreach across neighborhoods and blocks. More information on phase 2.
Project Rochester
This series aims to provide faculty and staff with information about the URMC community health mission. In addition, the Community Orientation Series strives to help familiarize employees with a general history of the City of Rochester and Greater Rochester area and how that history affects our community today. Finally, this series hopes to provide opportunities and resources to engage employees in community health research. More information on the orientation series.
