Dr. Vikram S. Dogra |
Vikram S. Dogra, MD is the Director, Division of Ultrasound and Associate Chair of Education and Research for the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His faculty appointments include Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Professor of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Dogra also assists and organizes the research efforts in the Department of Imaging Sciences for residents, fellows, and other PhDs. He is deeply involved with education programs for radiology residents and sonographers. Dr. Dogra is certified by the American Board of Radiology and American Registry, ARDMS (Ultrasound Physics, and Abdomen, OB/GYN, Neurosonography) He is also a board examiner in Ultrasound for American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Dogra has earned many honors and awards in his career, including, most recently: Received First Place in Scientific Poster Session with Bhatt S and Rubens DJ for Color flow Doppler evaluation of testicular torsion and its pitfalls, presented at the AIUM 51st annual convention in Washington DC, March 23rd-26th, 2006.

Highlights
December 2005, Dr. Dogra started a two-year term as president of the 3,000-member American Association of Radiologists of Indian Origin. Dr. Dogra has a strong background in ultrasound research. He has published many significant articles related to radiology and is the author of several textbooks and book chapters. In addition, he is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences and is on the editorial board member and is a reviewer for several major journals. Previous Experience
Before coming to the University of Rochester, Dr. Dogra was at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, where he served as Vice-Chairman of Education and Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiology & Biomedical Engineering. He was the Radiology Residency Program Director, the Director, Division of Ultrasound, and the Section Head, GU Radiology.
