The Mentor Development Core supports trainees and scholars enrolled in the following UR CTSI educational programs:

KL2 Mentored Career Development Program

The KL2 Mentored Career Development program provides 2 years of support for new investigators interested in a career in clinical or translational research. The program is designed to support the career development of those who wish to pursue research careers in multidisciplinary clinical and translational science.

Academic Research Track (ART)

The Academic Research Track (ART) will provide selected medical students, strongly motivated to pursue an academic career in medicine that encompasses research, with a broad and deep exposure to basic, clinical, educational, or translational research, involving both didactic and mentored research experiences through an enriched medical school curriculum.

Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP)

The Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) allows students interested in careers in medical science to undertake doctoral-level training in both clinical medicine and research. Students earn both an MD and a PhD.

PhD in Translational Biomedical Sciences

The goal of the PhD in Translational Biomedical Sciences program is to prepare individuals for academic and clinical careers relating to the translation of basic biomedical research into clinical strategies to improve health.
