The University of Rochester is conducting a research study of antidepressant medication in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) at several medical centers throughout the United States and Canada.
This study is important because researchers estimate that 40-50% of PD patients will experience depression during the course of their disease, yet there have been no large scale research studies examining the effects of antidepressants on patients with Parkinson’s disease.
