Support

My project with Dr Schieber is supported by a fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

Background

I was born in Quebec city, Canada in 1974. I moved to Montreal in 1993 to study Physical Therapy at the University of Montreal. During that time I worked with Anatol G. Feldman as a research summer student. Following my graduation in 1996, I have practiced for about 2 years in orthopedics. I specialized in Rééducation Posturale Globale (RPG). In 1998, I began my Master’s studies with Mindy F. Levin and Robert W. Dykes at the University of Montreal while pursuing part time clinical practice. My early interest for stroke recovery and fundamental research led me to work with Randolph J. Nudo for my Doctorate studies from 2000 to 2005. I then did some postdoctoral work in Dr Nudo’s laboratory including collaborative work with Anatol Feldman for about a year prior to moving to Rochester, NY.
