Technical Director
   Michael Leonard  B.F.A.

Michael started his academic career as a photographer at the Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in photography, and literature. While a student he worked his way through college as an EMT working with the Strong Emergency Department here at the University of Rochester. After graduation his interests turned to research and Michael joined the Sleep and Neurophysiology Laboratory as a night sleep technician. While working the nights his skills and interests evolved in the technical realm. Over time Michael started to manage the labs web page, take care of equipment issues, and eventually became the “go to” person regarding most anything that plugs into the wall.

Currently Michael serves as the labs Technical Director managing all the technical concerns. These duties range from study design with the labs primary investigators, and pharmaceutical companies, oversight of the technical staff in their training and execution of study protocols, to the technical design and maintenances of the labs equipment ensuring the highest quality of performance.

Over the years Michael continued to be an active showing artist and as of the 2007 accademic year Michael will return to his studies to obtain a M.F.A. in Visual Studies.
