Wynne Center for Family Research
The Wynne Center for Family Research is a vital part of the Division of Family Programs. Wynne Center resources and faculty members are available to master's program students. The program has access to several excellent libraries, including the program library, which contains approximately 150 books, 800-1,000 journal articles, and extensive videotapes; the Wynne Center for Family Research Library, which covers research publications in family therapy and psychology in the last forty years; and the medical school library, Miner Library, which has an extensive collection of volumes and journals in the social sciences, including family therapy. Students also have access to the University of Rochester's Rush-Rhees Library, which has several hundred thousand volumes.
The program has ample equipment for training students clinically. Staff members are available to videotape psychotherapy and training in four psychotherapy rooms, which have observational facilities. In addition, six video playback machines are available; these machines can accommodate VHS, 8-mm, and 3/4-inch videotape.
