Atrium Concert Series: Where Art & Science Meet
On December 11, 2007, the Department of Neurosurgery sponsored a chamber music concert in the Atrium of the Medical Center.
“Performing music is one of the most complex forms of skilled, serial action that can be produced by the human brain. The brain not only guides rapid, fine motor movements, but also ‘orchestrates’ the intangible, subtle variations of tempo, timbre, and phrasing that are collectively referred to as aesthetic style.” — Dr. Robert Bakos
During the concert Dr. Vincent Reale played violin together with Jason Sah on the viola, Jeff Miller on the guitar, Jennifer Gliere and Alexandra Nguyen for a memorable late afternoon. Clinicians, students, and researchers attended, relaxed and allowed the music to perform its magic. Music was on our mind. |
