Commercial Link Member Survey

Commercial Link brings together Rochester alumni, faculty and the private sector to facilitate commercial development of scientific discovery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. It taps the knowledge and experience of alumni scientists and physicians, connecting them with investigators currently studying and testing innovations at the School of Medicine and Dentistry and other areas of URMC. Alumni offer counsel to faculty to advance the process of creating viable private ventures, licensure agreements, and opportunities for sponsored research.

Commercial Link is an emerging group of distinguished physicians, researchers, and biotechnology leaders. Members include Ph.D., M.D., and M.P.H. graduates and represent every geographic region of the U.S., and Japan. Their areas of specialization include: medical devices, scientific instruments, nanotechnology, informatics, pharmaceutical development, optics, sensors, compliance, lifestyle interventions, many clinical specialties, and much more. Helpful advice and perspectives on market opportunities have contributed to recent discussions about URMC technologies and patenting.
