MACH 2010

Module One : Guide

Module One presents the purposes and background for doing maternal and child health (MCH) analyses. The objectives for this module are for students to learn:

  1. Why MCH analyses are important to local agencies
  2. About the Healthy People 2000 and 2010 goals
  3. What a MCH database is
  4. How to develop a process model for their own agencies
  5. What resources are available at CDC Wonder

To complete this module, students need to finish the following:

  • Pretest for Module One
  • Lecture
  • Readings
  • Homework
  • Web Work
  • Project
  • Posttest for Module One
  • Module One Evaluation

The Pretest must be taken before the assignments can be completed. After completing the Pretest, students can progress through the assignments at their own pace, although all materials must be completed before beginning the next module.
