Room Reservations

How do I reserve rooms for courses?

Provide a copy of your course schedule to the Offices for Educational Resources and the OER staff will work with you to reserve appropriate space for your educational plans.

If you are interested in looking at additional information regarding the rooms that are available, please see the OER Room Reservation Guidelines. The OER Savii webpage continually updates and shows all room availability in the Medical Center.

How do I reserve computer laboratories for use during my course?

Again, provide OER with a copy of your course schedule and completing a room request form, and the OER staff will work with you to reserve appropriate space for your educational plans. For requests regarding computer needs, please specify the purpose of the activity, the type of computers and programs required for the activity, whether or not internet connections are necessary and the number of computers required.

When do I need to make room reservations?

Room reservations must be made at least three months prior to the start of the semester in which your course takes place. This advance booking is required to work out all possible conflicts for Medical School courses, as well as plan out scheduling of Nursing School and graduate level courses.

How do I get a demonstration of how things work in all of the rooms in case a faculty member doesn't know? Who do I contact if there is a problem?

Contact OER to schedule a time to review the materials with them. Please indicate the room you would like to review. Contact OER if there is a problem with any of the equipment in the room.

What is the Student Response System that is available in the Case Method Room and how does it work?

Case Method Room (CMR)
Student Response System (RSVP)

Overview:

RSVP is a system that asks questions, collects votes and displays the results. Using the wireless keypads, audience members can respond to an on-screen question by pressing the number that corresponds to the answer number of their choice. Once all keypads have voted, a graphic display can be shown reflecting the responses from the entire audience.

This immediate interaction provides several benefits, including: fast, accurate and easy-to-use audience information gathering, immediate response feedback promoting vocal interaction and enhanced idea presentation.

To configure the system with your question list, we would like at least 48 hour advance notice of these questions.
